Speech and language therapy can help your child if they are experiencing speech, language or communication difficulties.
Therapy is available through the NHS and from therapists working in independent practice. Many families choose to access both at the same time and use independent services to supplement the support provided by the NHS.
“When you are concerned about your child’s speech and language development, it can be worrying and difficult to know where to go for support.”
How can Let’s Talk Speech help?
Our service starts with a free informal consultation over the telephone. This gives you the opportunity to tell us your concerns and we can talk about how we can help.
We have no waiting lists. Following the telephone consultation, if you would like an assessment for your child this can usually be arranged within 1-2 weeks.
We feel that the best place to see your child is in a familiar environment where they are comfortable and relaxed. Appointments are therefore offered in your own home, or your child’s school or nursery, at a time that suits you.
We encourage parents to access NHS services alongside independent speech and language therapy. If your child is also seeing an NHS therapist, with your consent, we will liaise with them regularly to provide the best possible support for your child.
We support children with a broad range of speech, language and communication difficulties including:
